Villaquilambre
edit- ... that a Roman villa in Villaquilambre municipality had hot baths and mosaic floors?
- Reviewed: Government of Japan

- Long enough, new enough, no copyvio etc; QPQ done; hook fact cited and mildly interesting; I'm not sure where the information for this sentence comes from though: "In the past the economy of the municipality was based on agriculture and related services, but with the building of the industrial estate at Navatejera, such companies as Laboratorios León Farma have increased the opportunities for employment" as the reference linked only confirms the address of Laboratorios León Farma. - @Belle: It comes from the Spanish language article on Villaquilambre. That article has some references but no inline citations for the "Economía" section. DYK requires at least one citation per paragraph so I translated the Spanish and added an inline citation that supported part of it. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:02, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
- I don't think that can stand without an external source to back it up; the information about the shift from farming was added to the Spanish article in 2005 on the second edit and the bit about Laboratorios León Farma was added in 2008 by an IP that never edited again; none of the references in the Spanish article mention anything about it. Belle (talk) 22:14, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
- I could remove the two sentences entirely, the article would still be long enough for a five-fold expansion. However, you are introducing things into the DYK process that are not in the criteria. The hook does not refer to the sentences to which you are referring and whether translating them from the Spanish language article is a good thing or not, it is not material to the DYK process. In general, as I understand it, we are encouraged to add information translated from other language wikipedias. There is nothing remarkable about the information. Most rural towns have an economy linked to the surrounding agricultural region, and the arrival of a new pharmaceutical enterprise is bound to create employment. - Rule 4 is "Within policy" and verifiability (does that sound like a made-up word or what?) is the first of the policies listed, so I'm not introducing anything to the DYK criteria by asking that the statements be verifiable. These aren't "common knowledge" facts and you can't use a general hypothetical to cover them. These might be useful if you decide to rewrite it rather than just delete it: suggests it is a dormitory for León; León-Farma creates 40 jobs; Not sure about the reliability of this site but it says the economy is based on services industries with some industry on the industrial estate; Agriculture statistics for León province (This is nothing to do with DYK, but my opinion is that wholesale translation from other wikis is not a great idea; they are often good starting points, but they aren't what we'd classify as reliable sources and most of them have lower standards than en WP; I used the Danish version for the basis of Anna Petersen and it had her biography intertwined with that of Anne Sophie Lorenze Petersen.) Belle (talk) 12:24, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
- How's that then? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 12:50, 24 September 2015 (UTC)

- Expansion is from 183 characters to 2,129 characters, enough to qualify. Article is neutral and cites sources with inline citations. Copyvios confidence 18.7%. Hook is neutral, interesting, and cited to a verifiable online source (which admittedly is non-neutral, but reliable enough for this fact). QPQ done. sst✈ 11:49, 14 October 2015 (UTC)
