Vladyslav Buialskyi
... that before Vladyslav Buialskyi sang the Ukrainian anthem with the Metropolitan Opera, he told his mother not to listen to the broadcast due to a power outage in her city of Berdiansk?Source: "Buialskyi spoke to his mother from Berdyansk [...] and told her not to listen to him take the stage at the Metropolitan Opera on Monday night. With electricity out because of Russia’s invasion, he didn’t want her wasting power for the Internet stream." [1]- Reviewed: Delphica

- Interesting bio of a young promising singer, on fine sources, no copyvio obvious. I am not happy with the hook, thinking that the simple fact of singing that piece that place - perhaps with a bit more about him (age, studied where ...) - would raise curiosity enough. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:31, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not ready to give up on this one yet because I think connecting the performance in New York with the state of his hometown makes for a powerful hook. But here is an alternate, as requested (though I don't like it as much):
- ALT1: ... that Vladyslav Buialskyi, a 24-year-old bass-baritone from Berdiansk, sang the State Anthem of Ukraine on the night of his debut with the Metropolitan Opera?

- Thank you, both fine if you ask me as a person. ALT1 is more neutral. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:32, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
