Waterlooplein metro station
- ... that citizens of Amsterdam got to look into the metro system of the city for the first time at the Waterlooplein metro station with an "open tube" (pictured) in 1975?
"In the tunnel section under Waterlooplein the 'Open Buis' exhibition was held from August to October 1975. For the first time, Amsterdammers and other interested parties can get an impression of their metro."- ALT0a ... that an "open tube" event (pictured) at Waterlooplein metro station in 1975 gave citizens of Amsterdam their first look at the city's metro system?
- ALT1 ... that an artwork planned to be removed from the Waterlooplein metro station was kept in the end due to its "cultural-historical value"? Source: Het Parool

- Not a stub: in fact rated at B-class and currently the subject of a Good article nomination.
- The article has not previously appeared @ DYK, nor the "In the News" section.
- High-quality sources are used throughout, particularly the Cees Ouwendijk book and the report about the line renovations. Citations have been used appropriately throughout; there is no uncited material.
- No close paraphrasing, inaccurate translation, plagiarism or other inaccuracy noted, and the article is neutrally written.
- QPQ review has been undertaken.
- I have tweaked some wording slightly without changing any meaning. Not relevant for DYK, but I also checked the coordinates and these are accurate.
- The image used for hook ALT0 is used in the article, appropriately licensed and looks good at thumbnail size.
- Both hooks are accurate and I have verified them with the online sources provided.
- A significant improvement has been made to this article about an important station. Good to see! Both hooks are suitable, but I have a preference for ALT0 if it can be used with the image, which I think would look good on the Main Page. If this hook is used, I would suggest some slight tweaking to the wording to make it a bit "tighter". Something like ... that an "open tube" event at Waterlooplein metro station in 1975 gave citizens of Amsterdam their first look at the city's metro system?, perhaps.
