Werl pilgrimage
- ... that when the Werl pilgrimage to a statue of Mary grew, a large Romanesque Revival pilgrimage basilica was built adjacent to the former pilgrimage church in Baroque style (interior pictured)? Source: several

- Comment: if you want a day connection, 24 May was the opening of the new church but I like the old one MUCH better ;) - The German Wikipedia has a detailed article for each, but I guess for our purposes, one should do. Please within May, Mary's month.--Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:18, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
- New article is 2,014 characters long and nominated (exactly) 7 days after first expansion. AGF all the refs which are in German. Article is well-sourced. Hook is 191 characters long (under 200 character max.) and is interesting. AGF ref 2 (verifying the hook) which is in German. Only QPQ needs to be completed. —Bloom6132 (talk) 22:58, 7 May 2020 (UTC)

- Hi, I came by to promote this. Could you write a hook that doesn't use the word
pilgrimage
three times? Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 17:17, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

- @Guerillero: I pinged on her talk page. Yoninah (talk) 18:00, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- I can, but see the problem that the German names of the two churches begin with Wallfahrt which is pilgrimage, and thought that - not willing to give them both a separate article - at least I should stay close to their names, but well, I see the point. Anybody could have done that, no?

- Unless you have something better for Pentecost = 31 May, this might work. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:25, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

- Well, I bolded 24 but also said the connection is weak. Maybe do 24 anyway, because I hope to write an article really related to Pentecost, not just the month of May. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:22, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- OK. But the article needs inline cites on the Baroque style and Romanesque Revival style hook facts. Yoninah (talk) 19:41, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- I added a ref for the styles, - a bit tricky, because the ref for the surrounding facts didn't specify, - perhaps because it's so obvious. I also found an image of Mary, - now I should just add a bit more text to avoid white space ... --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:28, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
