- Nizil Shah, given that this is a new editor and a first DYK, can we IAR to allow the nomination to be a few days late? --valereee (talk) 22:30, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
- Valereee I would have ignored the late nomination problem. But article needs a lot of improvement before passing DYK. There are several [citation needed] tags, grammar and some MOS issues. I have asked one editor, who regularly creates medical bios, to fix them. It may take some time. So if someone fix this quickly, I would reconsider. -Nizil (talk) 07:31, 19 February 2020 (UTC)

- Nizil Shah...I just read the above. Article still needs clarifying. With due respect, although initially hesitant, I have come to develop an interest in this article. Price did discover the first common cold virus but the rest of his research appears controversial. If I get my head around this, can we take Valereee's suggestion and carry the dyk through? I'll take responsibility, but need a little time. I don't mind helping a new editor Dishita Bhowmik. The decision is yours. Whispyhistory (talk) 20:07, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
- OK. If you people are willing to make it better, I would let go 4-days late nomination issue as an exception. I would like to encourage a new editor and a new DYK contributor. @Dishita Bhowmik:, please stay in touch and watchlist this page as well as the article. You may learn a few thing from @Whispyhistory: as he will improve the article. I will review it after it has been improved. Please propose new hooks as well because current hook is not formatted properly. Regards,-Nizil (talk) 13:47, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
- Nizil Shah Thank You. I am really willing to improve the article. DishitaBhowmik 15:46, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Nizil Shah: Thank you for being accommodating. I think I am done. One day, someone might write his biography. I'll wait for your opinion. @Dishita Bhowmik:..this was a difficult one as it is difficult to know what is true and what fabricated. Best is to say who said what. I crossed the hook as can't find anyone else who said he made that vaccine.

- ALT1: ... that in 1953, scientist Winston Price isolated the first rhinovirus, common cause of the common cold? Whispyhistory (talk) 19:18, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
@Whispyhistory: That sounds better and more reliable...
- New (late submission but new user so allowed), long enough, well cited, neutral, no copyvio, ALT1 hook cited, ALT1 hook interesting, QPQ not needed (new editor). Thanks @Whispyhistory: for improving the article. @Dishita Bhowmik: Have a look at the article and its history to understand how article is improved. It will help you in your next DYK submission. When a hook sentence is submitted for the article, it should be in the article with reference. Approving new hook ALT1.-Nizil (talk) 14:08, 27 February 2020 (UTC)
