The "Don't edit this line XXX" templates are a core part of the automated taxobox system, and so high use, but as of January 2019[update], the tool did not count their transclusions, as they are only used from Lua. |
This template may have no transclusions, because LUA tranclusions are not tracked by the tool. |
This template is used on many pages and changes may be widely noticed. Test changes in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in your own user subpage. Consider discussing changes on the talk page before implementing them. |
Usage
editTemplates in the "Don't edit this line XXX" family are used to extract information from a taxonomy template (i.e. a template whose name is of the form "Template:Taxonomy/taxon"). They are invoked by calling a taxonomy template with |machine code=XXX
, since the first line of every taxonomy template begins
{{Don't edit this line {{{machine code|}}}|...
They are intended only for use by the automated taxobox system. They are mostly used from within Module:Autotaxobox.
