The Entrepreneur's Barnstar | ||
The Entrepreneur's Barnstar is given to recognize new editors who have made great strides to contribute to Wikipedia. Custom User Message ~~~~ |
Criteria Guidelines
editThis award may be presented to any new Wikipedian who displays considerable attempts to contribute to Wikipedia. Whether these contributions actually improved the wiki does not matter; only that the user was trying to.
A guideline that may be used when giving this award is:
- account is still new
- account has made at least 50 edits
This award should not be given out simply based on those objective criteria, however. Be sure to consider:
- What pages were edited - a user who edits only one page or an extremely small quantity of pages should not be given this award.
- Mass of edits - two edits worth several hours of work may be better than 50 edits that change a single sentence
- Good Faith - users who edit in bad faith should never be given this award. Remember, if there is no reason to believe an edit was made in bad faith, assume it was made in good faith.
- If you wish to recognize a user who is not new for the contributions that they made when they were, feel free to give this award.
- This award should not be given to sockpuppets, even if the sock is permitted by policy, because they are not new editors.
