This is a documentation subpage for Template:Extended confirmed restriction. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
Usage
edit- This template gives more notice to editors about general sanctions that apply to small number of topics where, under Arbitration Committee extended-confirmed restrictions or equivalent community sanctions,
non-extended-confirmed editors may not make edits to internal project discussions related to the topic area, even within the "Talk:" namespace. Internal project discussions include, but are not limited to, AfDs, WikiProjects, RfCs, RMs, and noticeboard discussions.
Requested moves
edit- {{Extended confirmed restriction}} can be added below the
== Requested move [Day Month Year] ==
section heading and above the {{requested move/dated}} template:== Requested move 1 January 2024 == {{RM extended confirmed}} {{requested move/dated|Example}}
- If there are multiple notices or templates above a requested move, they must all be on the same line in order for the RMCD bot to parse the discussion properly.
- Not this:
- {{RM extended confirmed}}
- {{Notavote}}
- But instead this:
- {{RM extended confirmed}}{{Notavote}}
Parameters
edit- By default, the template is set to indicate that the topic is the Arab-Israeli conflict, the same as {{Extended confirmed restriction|a-i}}.
- Use {{Extended confirmed restriction|rusukr}} for topics within the Russo-Ukrainian War.
- Using the parameter
|type=
, this template can be used for other types of internal discussions, such as requests for comment (|type=request for comment
), as well.
