This is a documentation subpage for Template:Feed. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
Place this template in response to requests for feedback. It will give a basic paragraph simply pointing out where the article fails Wikipedia guidelines, and explaining the guidelines to the requester.
This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Feed}} ). |
The basic usage is {{feed|a|b}} - The first parameter should be the name of the guideline to wish to point out: the names the template will accept are listed below. - The second parameter gives you an option for your signature. If you use it, the template will invite the requester to post to your talk page. Otherwise, you may close the template and then sign (like }}~~~~). If you wish to use this feature, just put "|s" as the second parameter. Example of usage is {{subst:feed|wpbio|s}}. It's doubly important to subst this template when using this feature, or the signature won't work.
The accepted parameters are as follows:
- |wpbio - Links to WP:BIO and an explanation of notability in general
- |wpcorp - Links to WP:CORP
- |wpnm - For music notability issues (WP:NM)
- |wpweb - For articles failing WP:WEB
- |spam - For articles that are too promotional in tone, links to WP:Spam.
Notice that all answers link to WP:N at least, so I've made the guidelines rather specific. More may be added as needed, and it's not just limited to notability issues.
