Template to produce a simple invitation message to editors to join the Five Year Society. This template should be substituted (otherwise it will not display the signature line and it will place the page into Category:Pages with incorrectly transcluded templates).

Usage

For User:Example, using the shortcut for this template:

Dear Example,

I'd like to extend a cordial invitation to you to join the Five Year Society, an informal group for editors who've been participating in the Wikipedia project for five years or more.

Two additional parameters can be given to customize the greeting and add an extra message.

produces:
