{{Font list item}}
can be used to format lists of font samples.
Usage
edit{{Font list item |name=Article name |designer=Designer |class=Class |subclass=Sub-category (if exist) |example1=Font example |example2=Font sample |example3=Font specimen}}
- This template is used with {{Font list top}} and {{Font list bottom}}.
- Use the
|double
parameter if the first example is on two lines.
Example
edit{{Font list top|Serif}} {{Font list item |name = [[Chaparral (typeface)|Chaparral]] |designer = Carol Twombly |class = Slab serif |subclass = Neo-grotesque |example1 = Chaparral font.PNG |example2 = Chaparral sample.PNG |example3 = Chaparral spec.PNG }} {{Font list bottom}}
The above generates the following:
Typeface name | Example 1 | Example 2 | Example 3 |
---|---|---|---|
Chaparral Designer: Carol Twombly Class: Slab serif Sub-class: Neo-grotesque |
Notes
edit- The name of the designer does not need to be put in link brackets, if the article exist, it will generate the link automatically
- The brackets for the designer should be placed manually under two circumstances:
- Having to specify the designer (in case there are other articles about other people with the same name)
- In case that there are more than one designer (if you place them separated by comas, there will not be any link generated)
- The sub-class is rare, and it does not need to be always specified.
