Parameters

edit

All parameters of the form stem1, stem2, stem3, ... where stem is the base stem name for the parameter and the 1, 2, 3 correspond to the first, second, and third columns in the table. If there is more than one entry in a column, an additional a, b, and c can be appended to the end of the parameter (after the number). For example, for two meanings in the first column use |meaning1a= and |meaning1b=. Using two numbers will create an entry which spans more than one column. For example, if the same meaning applies to first two columns, use |meaning12=. If the same meaning applies to all three columns, use |meaning13=.

Parameter Description
lang Language for the entries in the first (lang1), second (lang2), and third columns (lang3). Use PG for Proto-Germanic, OE for Old English, or ON for Old Norse. This parameter is not case sensitive.
name Name assigned to the entries in the first (name1), second (name2), and third columns (name3). If there is more than one name for a particular language, use name1a and name1b and/or name2a and name2b and/or name3a and name3b.
meaning The English translation or meaning of the rune in the various languages.
shape An image showing the shape of the rune in the various languages, should be sized to 50px high using the image format [[File:Rune image.png|x50px]].
unicode hex The four hex digit code for the unicode symbol of the rune in the various languages. Typically there is a one-to-one correspondence between these symbols and the shape images. If there is more than one unicode symbol for a particular rune shape, separate the four digit hex codes with commas.
