The MileSplit template is designed to give standardised external links to athlete biographies on the MileSplit statistics website.

Usage

The template has two input fields:

{{Milesplit|id=|name=}}

• The id field is mandatory and relates to the number found in the target athlete biography URL
• The name field is optional and changes the output text for the athlete's name. This defaults to the article name (minus any disambiguation handles in parentheses).

Examples

The profile for Grant Fisher is https://www.milesplit.com/athletes/2336650

The final numbers in the URL are the id. So to add this link to the article we would include the following text in the External links section:

{{MileSplit|id=2336650}}

This will appear in the article as below:

• Grant Fisher at MileSplit
