search phrase (Wikidata, Wikispecies | Taxa DBs: NCBI, PESI, ITIS)
This template is for use for missing taxa, such as order, genus, subfamily, etc. There is a separate template for species, Template:Missing species, but this template can also be used for species.

Usage
edit{{Missing taxon|search phrase|article title}}
- search phrase is the string that will go into the various search urls.
- article title is an optional parameter in case the Wikipedia article link needs disambiguation. If not specified, the article title defaults to the search phrase.

Legend
edit- Wikidata = Wikidata search. This is good for finding the article in other languages. You can then translate the article (possible using Google translate) for use on en wikipedia. (This complies with wiki copyright guidelines, see: Wikipedia:Translation and MetaWikimedia's CR for Google Translations
- Wikispecies = A direct link to the wikispecies page. May be a dead link.
- NCBI = National Center for Biotechnology Information - taxonomic database
- PESI = A Pan-European Species-directories Infrastructure - European Specialization - taxonomic database
- ITIS = Integrated Taxonomic Information System- North American Specialization - taxonomic database
