Automatically formats and adds metadata for a motto in a non-English language. Designed for use as |motto= in {{Infobox settlement}}.

Usage

{{Motto|non-English language|language code|English translation}}

For example:

{{Motto|De profundis ad astra|la|From the depths to the stars}} →

De profundis ad astra (Latin)
transl. From the depths to the stars

Named arguments

• |text= Non-English text
• |code= Language code
• |en= English translation
• |rtl= Set if language is right-to-left
• |italic= Special case handling of italics, same as in {{lang}}
