Hudson County is governed by a directly elected County Executive and by a Board of County Commissioners, which serves as the county's legislative body. As of 2024[update], Hudson County's County Executive is Craig Guy (D, Jersey City), whose term of office expires December 31, 2027.[1] Hudson County's Commissioners are:[2][3][4]

Romano Jr. (D, District 5-- Hoboken and adjoining parts of Jersey City; 2026, Hoboken),[13][14] Fanny J.Cedeno (D, District 6-- Union City; 2026, Union City),[15][16] Caridad Rodriguez (D, District 7-- West New York (part), Weehawken, Guttenberg; 2026, West New York),[17][18] Robert Baselice (D, District 8-- North Bergen, West New York (part), Seacaucus (part); 2026, North Bergen),[19][20] and Albert Cifelli (D, District 9-- East Newark, Harrison, Kearny, and Secaucus (part); 2026, Harrison).[21][22]
