This template simplifies and speeds up creating links to the Glossary of nautical terms.
It has one required unnamed parameter, which is the term to be linked at one of the sub-glossaries of Glossary of nautical terms If the term does not exist in the sub-glossary it will still link to the sub-glossary where the term should be, alphabetically sorted.
The second unnamed parameter is an alias which will display at the link in the same way as a piped link.
Examples:
{{Nautical term|aftercastle|sterncastle}}uses an alias to produce sterncastle, linked to Glossary of nautical terms (A–L){{Nautical term|stern}}produces stern, linked to Glossary of nautical terms (M–Z)
This system can be expanded to work with more sub-glossaries quite easily by editing this template.
