This template uses Lua: |
Produces a hatnote linking to a disambiguation page associated with other Pennsylvania townships with the same name.
Usage
If the first parameter is blank, the template takes the page title, converts the first section between commas into a single comma, and appends the "(disambiguation)" suffix. If a page with that title exists, it's used as the first parameter as a default. For example, on Mount Pleasant Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania the default page to link to would be Mount Pleasant Township, Pennsylvania (disambiguation). If that page doesn't exist, then the template tries stripping out everything after the first comma and adding the suffix, e.g. Mount Pleasant Township (disambiguation). If the second page doesn't exist, then the template falls back to the usual hatnote behaviour of simply appending the "(disambiguation)" suffix to the page name.
Therefore, in most cases {{other Pennsylvania townships}}
is sufficient. If the page or disambiguation page isn't named with the usual pattern, then the first parameter can be used to set the target manually, e.g. {{other Pennsylvania townships|PAGE}}
.
If parameters past the first are used, then they become additional hatnote targets. Even if a second parameter exists, the first parameter will still default if left blank (i.e. {{other Pennsylvania townships||PAGE2}}
).
