The eastern bristlebird (Dasyornis brachypterus) is a species of bird in the bristlebird family, Dasyornithidae. Endemic to Australia, its natural habitats are temperate forests, shrublands and grasslands. It is considered to be a vulnerable species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and listed as endangered in Australian legislation, being threatened by habitat loss and a lack of genetic diversity.
