Usage
editNormally, this template is used to prevent the so-called "list sprawl" (the list version of urban sprawl) and unnecessary maintenance that would result. Generally, this is used after an WP:Articles for Deletion discussion, though it may be added after a discussion on the article's talk as well. Additionally, this template is a maintenance template for itself (see § Appearance in article space). Editnotices using it appear in Category:Pages with pruned editnotice.

Optional parameters (non-lists, oldid, or no afd)
editIf the pruning did not happen during a WP:Articles for deletion discussion, then set afd=noafd and it will instead refer to the appropriate style guideline. For example, {{Pruned editnotice|oldid=385922282|date=July 1234|afd=noafd}} makes: (note: "oldid" parameter also demonstrated)

Former clean-up template
editThis template used to be a clean-up template before it was converted to an editnotice as discussed at Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2010_October_18. Articles were placed at Category:All articles that have been pruned.
