Template intended to force fonts that support the two Cuneiform Unicode blocks.
Usage
known fonts:
- Akkadian [1] (automatically provided as webfont if the Universal Language Selector is enabled)
- Noto Sans Cuneiform by Google [2]
- Free Idg Serif [3] (Old Assyrian)
- Santakku [4] (cursive Old Babylonian)
- Ullikummi A [5] (Hattic, Hittite, Luwian, Palaic)
- Assurbanipal [6] (Neo-Assyrian, Urartian)
- Esagil [7] (Neo-Babylonian)
Optionally, two parameters can be used. In this case, the first parameter is either
- a number from 1 to 7, specifying the historical stage preferred, per Image:SAG.png:
- archaic pictogram, around 3000 BC.
- rotated pictogram, around 2800 BC.
- abstracted glyphs in archaic monumental inscriptions, from ca. 2600 BC
- Classical Sumerian cuneiform as written in clay, from ca. 2600 BC
- Neo-Sumerian, late 3rd millennium BC
- Old Akkadian, late 3rd millennium BC
- Old Assyrian, early 2nd millennium BC
- Old Babylonian, early 2nd millennium BC, as adopted into Hittite.
- Middle Assyrian, late 2nd millennium BC
- Middle Babylonian, late 2nd millennium BC
- Neo-Assyrian, early 1st millennium BC
- Neo-Babylonian, late 1st millennium BC
- This is so far supported only for (8), (11), and (12), for lack of fonts for the other stages.
