Use this to create a category of the form "Sports clubs and teams in Fooland", where "Fooland" is a valid name of a country, continent, or populated place.
e.g.
- Category:Sports clubs and teams in the United States
- Category:Sports clubs and teams in China
- Category:Sports clubs and teams in Indonesia
- Category:Sports clubs and teams in Brazil
Usage
Normal usage
{{Sports clubs and teams in Fooland category header}}
The typical usage requires no parameters because the template looks up the other data.
e.g. on Category:Sports clubs and teams in the United Kingdom, no parameters are needed
The other needed data is:
- the parent location(s) in which the location is located. This is looked up by Template:Country2continent if the location is a country.
If the location is not a country, then the information must be provided.
Optional parameters
|parentlocation1=Atlantis
bypasses the lookup of the parent location (i.e. continent), and uses "Atlantis".|parentlocation2=Lemuria
bypasses the lookup of the parent location (i.e. continent), and adds a second continent: "Lemuria"|tail=province
is available for use when the location is a subdivision of the parent location.
e.g. on Category:Sports clubs and teams in California, use{{Sports clubs and teams in Fooland category header|parentlocation1=United States|tail=state}}
|diagnose=yes
turns on diagnostics, which may help if the template doesn't work as expected
