Template:Sports officials category ambiguous/doc

This is a hardcoded usage of {{category disambiguation}}. It has only one purpose: to create a consistent disambiguation page for categories of "Nationality sports official", following a category renaming at WP:CFD 2017 January 4.

Usage

The template requires one parameter, which must be a nationality. Other parameters will be ignored.

Example

To disambiguate between Category:Welsh sports executives and administrators and Category:Welsh referees and umpires, simply add the following to Category:Welsh sports officials:

{{Sports officials category ambiguous|Welsh}}

This produces the following output:

This category is not in use because it has an ambiguous title.

• For Welsh executives, administrators and representatives of sports governing bodies, see Category:Welsh sports executives and administrators.
• For Welsh referees, umpires, linemen, competition judges etc, see Category:Welsh referees and umpires.

Note: This category page should be empty. All entries should be recategorized under one of the above categories or an appropriate subcategory.

Categorisation

This template automatically categorises category namespace pages into Category:Disambiguation categories. If the category isn't empty, it also categorizes it into Category:Non-empty disambiguation categories.

It works even if the categories do not exist, and will not place the disambiguated category into Category:Wikipedia category-disambiguation box parameter needs fixing.
