This template provides consistent formatting for user page links in the external links section of biographies of Wikipedia people. The main purpose of this template is to categorize templates into the hidden tracking category Category:Wikipedia articles with Wikipedia user page links.
This template also has the advantage that it uses {{Self-reference link}} internally, so the links work properly on Wikipedia mirrors.
