Project banner
editThis template, {{WikiProject New Jersey}}, adds articles to Category:WikiProject New Jersey articles. This template is a self-reference. Please add it to the article's talk page.
Usage
editTo add an article to the list, place {{WikiProject New Jersey|class= |importance= }} at the top of the article's talk page, adding it to Category:WikiProject New Jersey articles. This template should be transcluded as {{WikiProject New Jersey}} and not substituted {{subst:}} because it employs conditional code. Transclusion also allows easy updating of all the Project's talk pages without having to edit thousands of pages. The template also employs several optional data field parameters as described below.

Parameters legend
edit- class: Options are FA, FL, A, GA, B, Start, Stub, Cat, Dab, Image, List, Portal, Redir, Project, and Template. If blank (#default), this will default as unassessed and list the article at Category:Unassessed New Jersey articles. NA is "not assessed". Descriptions of some of the options can be found at WikiProject New Jersey/Quality scale.
- importance: Top, High, Mid, Low, NA. If blank, this will default as unknown importance. Descriptions of the options can be found at WikiProject New Jersey/Importance scale.
- attention: Answer yes if the page needs immediate attention. Adds article to Category:New Jersey articles needing attention. Leave blank or delete if not.
- needs-infobox: Answer yes if the page needs an infobox. Leave blank or delete if not.
- listas: enables proper sorting within categories. For example, |listas=Corzine, Jon will place the Jon Corzine article under C instead of J in category listings.
Task Force related parameters
edit- education: Answer yes for articles under the scope of the Education task force
- education-importance: Top, High, Mid, Low, NA. If blank, this will default as unknown importance.
- hudson-county: Answer yes for articles under the scope of the Hudson County task force
- hudson-county-importance: Top, High, Mid, Low, NA. If blank, this will default as unknown importance.
Notes
edit- To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template.
- This template includes a hook for WikiProject announcements. Appropriate short notices may be placed at Wikipedia:WikiProject New Jersey/Bulletin for automatic transclusion if there is consensus at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject New Jersey.
