This template takes one required parameter: The "main" year being described. For example: {{year in machinima|2004}}.
By default, the template will automatically calculate and display arrow links corresponding to the previous and subsequent years (in the above example, 2003 and 2005). If you wish to change or suppress these links, pass in a prev or next parameter with the appropriate year, or explicitly specify them as blank to suppress the links.
