A few notes:

This is a model of Australia, which is recognisable as Australia, but much smaller as a map.
With this model illustrations with series of AUS maps can be small too.
Thanks to the circle around the capital, all states are big enough to show a clear distinct colour.
I don't like the colour scheme, it has colour blindness issues, but it is in line with other abortion maps.
