Euromanx

edit

I have removed Euromanx again as I believe an Austrian airline operating Austrian aircraft is not an airline of the United Kingdom, if somebody wants to add it again can they please explain the rationale (From the Euromanx website "We", "our" "ourselves" and "us" means EuroManx Airways GmbH of Flughafen Graz 8073, Feldkirchen, Graz, Austria) MilborneOne 21:55, 23 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • It operates out of the Isle of Man (although not itself a part of the UK I know)- so is relevant here. Consider, Air Scotland which is Greek owned for instance. Astrotrain 22:05, 23 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
    • Still not happy with its inclusion (Air Scotland (a trading name for Greece Airways licened by the Hellenic authorities) should be deleted as well as it does not have a UK operating licence ) - City Star Airlines is not a UK airline either. Ryanair is a foreign airline that operates out of Stansted should we add that as well. Euromanx is operated and licenced by the Austrian authorities. Any other opinions? • I think since these are trade names with their own articles that operate soley from UK airports- that they can be included. I do understand where you are coming from- but they would not fit into other templates- eg Air Scotland would not go well in a Greek airlines template. Astrotrain 22:28, 23 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
City Star Airlines is a British airline. Quote from web site: "City Star Airlines is a Scottish Limited Company with its registered office at the Commercial House, 2 Rubislaw Terrace, Aberdeen, AB10 1XE, Scotland." [1]. They may be owned by Icelandics, but that is irrelevant. They are a seperate company operating from the UK, it is the UK airline that ownes the Icelandic one. BMED

edit

Removed them and moved them to defunct, as they are now fully part of BMI Shazz0r (talk) 17:24, 7 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Manx2

edit

Seems to be some dispute about the inclusion of Manx2 in this template. Just to note that it is not legally an airline (it is not registered or licenced as an airline). It is just a travel agent/ticket broker and to quote the website Our flights are operated by VanAir Europe AS, FLM Aviation, Flightline & Jetstream Executive. To list it on here as an airline is misleading. MilborneOne (talk) 12:40, 15 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Citywing/Hebridean Air Services

edit

User:Thecatwhogotthemilk keeps adding Citywing to this template, it is not an airline so doesnt belong, please also note that only "Type A" licence holders or Air Transport Licence Holders are listed and Hebridean Air Services is a "Type B" licence holder, by convention the Type B airlines are not listed, thanks. Apologies, I misunderstood how it worked. Thanks for correcting me. Thecatwhogotthemilk (talk) 01:25, 17 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
