Evasion

edit

I added the book Evasion to the "Popular Works" section. It's a great book by a self-described freeganist hobo who travels the country dumpster-diving, hitchhiking, shoplifting, and train-hopping. I am in the process of improving the article on the book itself, which kind of sucks at the moment. It contains a lot of copied and pasted (albeit public domain) text from crimethinc.com. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SuperEditor (talkcontribs) 18:41, 25 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Post-Materialism

edit

The PM developed by Inglehart does not reject consumption, it simply reflects a set of values that FOLLOW in the wake of materialism. It has nothing to do with Naomi Klein or the rejection of capitalism. I am removing it from the template and the template from the Post-Materialism page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.157.18 (talk) 06:25, 26 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Who made this thing?

edit

Can anyone tell me why productivism belongs in the anti-consumerism template? That makes no sense to me. I'm thinking it had to have been a vandal. Jiminezwaldorf (talk) 14:48, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wondering the same thing about why social democracy is in the template. --Sharangir (talk) 04:13, 24 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
This is Wikipedia and anyone can change anything. I was thinking that the words "consumerism" and "anti-consumerism" often have the same meaning. Blue Rasberry (talk) 00:33, 4 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Anti Consumerists

edit

Why are people like Cobain and Biafra in the template. There are countless anti consumerist musicians we can include into this.I will delete all musicians from the list, unless someone can give a proper explanation about those inclusions.--Catlemur (talk) 14:20, 22 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. That would be a good approach. bobrayner (talk) 00:08, 3 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Template: People

edit

The ‘people’ template serves the purpose to introduce individuals that are connected to Degrowth. This could either be people that started and developed the idea or people that contribute to its discourse today. However, most of the people listed are not directly linked to Degrowth at all and seem to be connected by nothing but political popularity. Therefore, the template loses its original purpose. Hence, I suggest to only leave individuals that really are connected to the theory and idea of Degrowth (surely there are more than I know of) MaKnowledge (talk) 11:22, 29 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
