My attempt to simplify the template has been reverted. I have two main problems with the current format of the template. The first is many of the group headings are in my view unclear. Secondly, the template to me has some unnecessary complexity. 'Data telecommunications systems' is such a broad description as to be essentially meaningless. 'Unified Communications' is meaningless corporate-speak, as is 'Management Tools'. 'IP Phones' and 'Protocols' are fine however.
I propose the following headings (as shown below) : 1. Routers and servers, 2. Servers, 3. Software and systems, 4. IP phones, 5. Protocols.Rangoon11 (talk) 20:04, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

Thanks, I would like some help to come up with a better format. Starting with 'Data telecommunications systems' We can not group all current systems into switches and routers, because they in fact are not. ie Secure Routers and VPN Router are routers, but not switches because they are also Firewalls and VPN devices. Secure Network Access, is not a router or a switch but a security (NAC) device. - Geek2003 (talk) 01:56, 19 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
