Fourteen Out

edit

I claim that the Fourteen Out article is no longer a stub, so I'm arbitrarily picking another card game stub. A second opinion would not be unwelcome. -Stellmach 15:36, 4 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mille Bornes

edit

The current version of the Mille Bornes article is about half composed of an extensive strategy section, which does not seem to include any references. So, that's a No Original Research and WP:NOT problem that's unfortunate in the article about such a classic game. -Stellmach 22:51, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Diplomacy

edit

Someone working on Diplomacy (board game) seems to have mistaken the article for a web directory, as several parts of the main body are a mess of external links (see WP:External links on this topic, which basically says "don't do that"). The "Other Ways to Play" section is basically just 80% web directory. I've started on cleaning this up, but it looks to be a big chore. -Stellmach 20:18, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Race for the Galaxy

edit

Was mildly surprised this game didn't have a Wikipedia page. Is one in the works? CapnZapp (talk) 11:36, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Actually, Race for the Galaxy does have a page now. Michaelarick (talk) 00:08, 6 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Termination Incorporated

edit

I note there is no article for this game. If no one is planning on writing it up I'd be up for it once I find somewhere other than BGG which even mentions it. Humbersi (talk) 23:47, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Snakes and Lattes

edit

I've been working to expand the article on Snakes and Lattes, the most notable board game café in the world, and I believe the only one with its own Wikipedia article. It really needs an image, for at least the main location and preferably both. I'm a complete novice with finding and uploading images - can anyone assist here? Squatter (game)

edit

Hi I have just completed a rather large update on the Squatter (game) page and have removed the citations required template at the top of the page. Would someone be able to have a look and see if the page now warrants more than a Stub rating? Nestek (talk) 10:52, 18 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Board Game Arena

edit

I propose to create the page "Board Game Arena", even though it has been deleted and creation locked. We may need to contact admins.

Here are reasons:

  1. The Board Game Arena site is notable and a very popular board game site (the biggest I think)
  2. It's on French and Japanese Wikipedias

This makes sense to me. Possible sources: 6 Best Sites to Play Board Games Online for Free! Formal Definitions

edit

Would it be possible to have formal definitions for things relevant to this group?

  1. When is a page no longer considered a stub? Is it when it meets the minimum requirements for the style guidelines?
  2. What makes a board game page worthy of retention? The Talk page for GridIron Master says
Regarding "notability", this article is as notable as many other board game articles under "List of Board Games"... which have not been marked for deletion.

That would lead to a self-referential test. Looking at Wikipedia:Notability I believe a lot of board game articles don't meet the criteria for notability at least as they are currently referenced. Does an entry on Boardgamegeek help? I assume it is not sufficient in of itself. Also many other areas of Wikipedia have their own area specific notability guidelines. What about boardgames? Note I have no wish to lead to a mass deletion of obscure board game pages, but I suspect their ought to be some minimum standard. Slimy asparagus (talk) 09:52, 20 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
