Please help me by putting this newly created template box at the end of every Black Sabbath article... - Prodigenous Zee 05:30, 1 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ronnie?

edit

Don't you agree that Ronnie James Dio was just as significant as the other 4 members of the band? He should be 5th in line with the others, not a footnote below them. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Z-vap (talkcontribs) 12:26, 31 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

No, his placement is adequate. Tony Martin has appeared on more albums then Dio has. If Dio's name moved up his name would have to move up too. And then Cozy Powell, and then Appice...etc. The current line-up of Iommi, Butler, Ward, Osbourne is what should appear there. 156.34.208.229 13:55, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Live at Last

edit

Should Live at Last (Black Sabbath album) be added to the template? / edgarde 11:43, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I always thought, and I could be wrong, that Live at Last was never authorised for release by the band or it's management. And, since it's original :Live at Last" version, the album has been released(with full authority from Black Sabbath) under the title "Past Lives"... which is on the template...and pretty much negates the "Live at Last" version. It's essentially a dupe. 156.34.142.110 12:46, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Redlinked singles

edit

I have redlinked the single as they all easily qualify for notability, and should be included in a band nav box. Tenacious D Fan (talk) 15:52, 11 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Adam Wakeman

edit

I'm wondering why I'm having trouble keeping Adam Wakeman in the 'former members' section. He was the band's official touring keyboardist in 2004-2006, replacing Geoff Nicholls - see this listing on black-sabbath.com, and his inclusion in this list. These were 'proper' Sabbath tours (ie, Iommi/Ward/Osbourne/Butler, not Heaven and Hell tours.) Unless anyone objects, I'm going to re-add him in the coming days for the sake of completion. Colinclarksmith (talk) 22:09, 30 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I suspect the reason is the same reason that his father Rick, who played keyboard in the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath era, doesn't. They did not appear on stage nor were they listed on the albums. Geoff Nicholls was listed on Seventh Star, played on stage for that tour, and appeared in promotional pictures. I think it is reasonable, however, to add both Wakeman's to the related articles section. J04n (talk) 05:16, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Someone made the point that Adam Wakeman was never an official member, which I think could be a fair enough assessment. That black-sabbath.com has him listed in its 'members' section isn't definitive, since the site is, after all, a fan site (albeit sprawling and thorough.) So I think it's fair to keep Adam out. I think Rick was perhaps negotiating further involvement with the band above and beyond his uncredited appearance on the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath album, but it seems to me that he ultimately did not move beyond 'guest' status. Hundreds of articles?

edit

"This template is used in hundreds of articles." Oh, really? It's just 104. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.132.137.147 (talk) 11:57, 22 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Halford?

edit

Why is Rob Halford listed here? He was vocalist for just a pair of shows, and just as a guest. He has never been a real member of the band, even if a short-lived one. His relation with Black Sabbath seems to be very trivial to justify inclusion here, and should be removed MBelgrano (talk) 12:15, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Agree, should be removed. J04n(talk page) 15:08, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fenholt?

edit

Jeff Fenholt was briefly involved with one album, and exploits this in his evangelical mission. Is there more to the story? Otherwise we might as well include in the template everyone who has ever auditioned. Don Arden seems like a worthwhile addition, but I'm thinking Fenholt need not be linked from every page. / edg 11:41, 4 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Bill Ward got moved down?

edit

Why is Bill Ward, a founding member, not with Geezer, Osbourne, and Iommi? 24.225.23.137 (talk) 03:15, 2 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
