Reversion of route map

edit

I have revert the edits that took place on 21 January 2011 [1] by User:WhistlingTractor and User:Britmax as the template here should detail the route as it current exists for the preserved/restored Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway.

{{Slamannan and Borrowstounness Railway}} already exists associated with article Slamannan and Borrowstounness Railway for the historic line, that this template appear to (incorrectly) mutate into. --Stewart (talk | edits) 19:50, 21 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand why you've reverted this. It's the same line, showing the same bits as being closed. And the old one is for the north top convention upside down anyway. What's the problem? Britmax (talk) 19:55, 21 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
The connection to the SRPS restored/presevered line is to the east of the underbridge of the historic line and the connection faces in the opposite direction. --Stewart (talk | edits) 19:59, 21 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Not on Google Earth or the current OS map it's not, the train leaving the line from Bo'ness faces westward towards Polmont. Have a look. Britmax (talk) 20:06, 21 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Nope - the westwards line towards Polmont is a headshunt and run-round loop. Trains from the RR loop leave in the Edinburgh direction (see Quail Vol 1, page 12; also [2] - and this was how it was laid out when I was on a train between Glasgow and Edinburgh last weekend. --Stewart (talk | edits) 20:14, 21 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yep, you're right. I didn't look far enough west. Apologies, should have known better with you(!). Britmax (talk) 20:20, 21 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
