Template talk: CAM software. All rapid prototyping machines must have some software [ G-Codes ] that will run that specific machine [ 3-D printer ]. This software application may come from many different sources... But Autocad Inventor is one of these applications. Autocad Inventor 2010 thru 2015 are software programs that can easily generate the code for rapid prototying of 3-D parts. The exact part is drawn on the CRT and carefully inspected to insure it is correct. Their are two different files that must be created for this part to be ready for the machines. One file is the SAVED FILE for the computer and the other file is DXF FILE for the rapid prototyping machine. The rapid prototyping machine has it's own conversion assembler's language that generates the G-Codes to run the machine. Many thousands of part have been created utilizing this methodology.
