Added number of new deaths and total number of deaths for each day

By looking at the history of the template I added the number of new deaths and total deaths from 2020-03-25 and forward. Older data for deaths is not available in the template history. The data for the period 2020-03-11 - 2020-03-19 is fairly consistent across sources, and I added data for 2020-03-11 - 2020-03-19. We must have a consistent source for the number of deaths (and other data in the table). The best source seems to be data released by Folkhälsomyndigheten at 14:00 each day ( https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/09f821667ce64bf7be6f9f87457ed9aa ). Sometimes the data may be wrong but it is better to use one source rather than changing the source. For example the graph of number of deaths per day displayed at the press conference held by Folkhälsomyndigheten 2020-04-10 may be correct in part, but it is difficult to use press conferences as a main data source. The graph was also partly incorrect, for example the first death was 2020-03-11 not 2020-03-13 as indicated in the graph. Comments?

Sums of total cases in general and 14th of March

Someone undid my correction of the sums. I´ve checked it three times and the total cases on the 14th of March are 137 cases. Could the one who undid my edit please motivate why? Laboz125 (talk) 19:10, 15 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Calculation of deaths per 100k

As requested by 155.4.92.139, I calculated it by taking (Number of dead/(Confirmed cases/Cases per 100k)). In the excel sheet provided by FHM, this is calculated by going to the "Totalt antal per region" tab, and the number for Blekinge, for example, is given by "=(E2/(B2/C2))". I then rounded this to two significant figures using "=ROUND(*Number to be rounded*,2-(1+INT(LOG10(ABS(*Number to be rounded*)))))". The first 2 can be switched to however many significant figures are desired.

This is possible since the accuracy for dead per 100k is very fine in the excel sheet provided by FHM, which allows us to calculate the number of inhabitants per county. Total population is calculated with ((Confirmed cases/cases per 100k)*100 000), then take ((Number of dead/County population)*100 000) to get deaths per 100k. Combining these results in the following expression: ((Number of dead/((Confirmed cases/Cases per 100k)*100 000))*100 000) which simplifies to (Number of dead/(Confirmed cases/Cases per 100k)), as indicated above. Updating

Hello everyone, I'm new to this, but thought I would try to be useful in updating this page. If I'm doing it wrong then I'm happy to take direction/guidance from more experienced hands. I've updated the most of the data to the 18 May from the daily spreadsheet https://www.folkhalsomyndigheten.se/smittskydd-beredskap/utbrott/aktuella-utbrott/covid-19/bekraftade-fall-i-sverige/ but was not sure if some of the cells are meant to do calculations for me, e.g. deaths per 100,000 and 7 day averages, if so how do i do it? or do I just calculate myself and insert the number? Also I not the spreadsheet has 0 deaths for the 10-19 age range, I would have thought it was better to use the same data souses for all the data on the table, but also did not what to deleat a death. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HappyRichard1 (talkcontribs) 16:57, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello HappyRichard1! Thank you for wanting to help out. I moved your question to a new section since it fit better here. (Press the "new section" button next to the view history button to create a new topic.) Unfortunately Wikipedia doesn't automatically do these calculations for us, so we have to do them ourselves. The easiest way to do so, in my opinion, is to create a spreadsheet in Excel which automatically does all these calculations for you. Then you only have to paste the new numbers into the spreadsheet and paste the numbers from the spreadsheet into Wikipedia. If you need any help don't hesitate to ask! ICU usage

I think it would be illuminating to have the number of ICU beds in use on each day added to this table. rater than just the number of new cases. but the document is already quite big, I was thinking of removing the line that has the cumulative total of number of test conducted, as this does not seem to add much value, we could possible add it in the other table at the top of page? any thoughts? before I change it?

I don't think daily figures are necessary for this table, because it makes it quite large; should we use cumulative cases? Because the current incarnation of this table is excessively large.
