Template talk:Campaignbox French Wars of Religion

A campaign box has a battle or series of battles (nth French War of Religion). It chews up space on the right side of article resulting in readability problems. Right now, can’t seem to find where this is actually used.

If formatted as a navigational box and placed at the bottom of the article, it could be less cryptic and be used in more places.

Right now, it chews up valuable right space, in turn forcing difficulties with reading the left side of article. Cannot really count out which War was was which. Fourth War? Eighth war? Why are years sufficient? Major participants eliminated. Student7 (talk) 02:34, 25 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

I've tried to address these issues to make it more logical (French wars of Religion are seen by historians as the period 1562 to 1598, the others are rebellions), remove non relevant stuff (Edicts and Treaties do not belong in a Campaign box) and add Auto collapse. Hope this makes sense. Robinvp11 (talk) 19:52, 9 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Robinvp11: The Massacres of Vassy and Bartholomew, the riot of Toulouse and the surprise of Meaux wouldn't qualify for inclusion in the box either by this metric. Though losing access to the treaties and edicts in the sidebar is a bit of a nuisance, perhaps I'll have to create a new navigational box for them.
