edit- ... that in the church of Saint James the Less, Pockthorpe, now the home of the Norwich Puppet Theatre, there was a rood screen with portraits of saints painted in 1479? [2024-02-03 at 18:25:28, by AirshipJungleman29]

- I have a problem with the second hook above, in which "with portraits of saints" has been removed. How exactly does that improve the hook? The portraits of saints, painted so long ago, are the interesting point in the hook. Just saying that the rood screen was painted a long time ago is not interesting, because it is like saying your front door was painted in 1989. So what? But if you said your front door was painted with portraits of, e.g. local sports heroes, then that would be interesting. Readers will not necessarily click on "rood screen" to see what that means, and they will assume that it is some type of screen which received a coat of paint a long time ago. Again, so what? Portraits painted on the screen are interesting. A coat of paint is not. So please revert to the first hook above. Storye book (talk) 20:24, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
- I agree with the above comment. Amitchell125 (talk) 12:52, 4 February 2024 (UTC)
- I - reviewer - agree with the comment. We could leave it out (as sort of redundant) if the image had been taken, - moving to an image slot would be an alternative. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:25, 4 February 2024 (UTC)

- @Ravenpuff: You cannot use the last hook, above, because leaving out "with portraits of saints" is directly in denial of my comment above, and the comments of Amitchell125 the creator, and Gerda Arendt the reviewer. Gerda's comments are there to help you - you need to either use your last mod in a picture slot, or reinstate "with portraits of saints". Please read the above comments again. Thank you. - @Storye book: Sorry, I never removed "with portraits of saints" from the hook; that seems to have been done by AirshipJungleman29 (see the first section above) before I made my purely syntactical change. As a courtesy, I have added the words back into the hook, as you prefer. — RAVENPVFF · talk · 15:33, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
