Bletchley high-level

edit

Would someone who speaks the arcane lore used for route diagrams please add Bletchley high-level station on the oxf-mkc line, directly left of the current BLE marker on the WCML, please? --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 11:37, 19 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

I've discovered how to show elevated track at Bletchley (though it doesn't join to the flyover?) but I can't see how to put a station marker in it, still less a link line to the low-level station.
@JJMC89: If you happen to have the time, you seem the be an expert at this so I would appreciate your help, please. For an aerial view, see 51°59′42″N 0°44′10″W / 51.995°N 0.736°W / 51.995; -0.736 but note that the high-level station is not actually built yet. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 18:56, 19 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Speculation

edit

@Difficultly north: Your edit summary says updated proposals show these stations as to be possibly served. Can you provide a source? What about Wixams? How many of the MVL stations are to close or merge? How confident are we? (because we shouldn't just guess).

I suspect we are hitting the same issue as bedeviled the Crossrail article: the distinction between infrastructure and services. Add to that the question there must be over the continued existence of EWRCo under a change of government: will it be swept up into GBR? Is there any credible possibility of the all-stations service and the express service being independently managed?

Broader discussion and consensus needed. --𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 18:31, 15 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

This was not made up. This was updated using the current consultation document. Please read this. This is not speculation on my part and I was not guessing. The update includes services to Stewartby. Difficultly north (talk) Time, department skies 19:48, 15 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I certainly didn't intend to imply that you made it up. The question was more one of WP:crystal. I guess I could have made a better choice of phrase. By "speculation" I meant that we can't say what will happen, only what may happen when we see a funded T&WO.
Perhaps my misunderstanding arises from the lack of clarity over which stations will receive a semi-fast service: I think I recall Stewartby not being on that list. EWRCo seemed to be saying that if their trains don't call at a station, it will be closed. But as I said above, EWRCo is about to become history. --𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 15:03, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
and on reading the document, I see it must have been Millbrook I was thinking of. D'oh! 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 15:06, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
