I think the firearms stub is a great idea, but the image is of a military nature, more appropriate for a weapon. How can we get it changed, preferably to a suitably recreational firearm like an antique side-by-side fowling piece? RPellessier | Talk16:28, 1 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'm not necessarily opposed to it, but I think it rather clearly shows a person crouched with a carbine or small rifle. It's not explicitly military, I don't think. Further, it evokes what the stub actually represents -- firearms. How would you represent a "side by side fowling piece" in the small space alotted? Perhaps if you had an image in mind, or something. I just don't see any real good reason to change it. Mind you, many of the articles in this category were previously {{weapon-stub}} or {{mil-stub}}. I changed them because I didn't feel that all rifles were "military" and that "weapon" was too broad. Avriette19:27, 1 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, it wasn't that clear to me. In fact I had to open the image in a separate tab and zoom it in order to see what it was. I took the liberty to change it to some more easily-recognizable firearm, the good ol' Kalashnikov seems a nice idea, though we could as well change it to some other weapon. There's a nice Thompson, a two-way M1A1, a colourful and compact Błyskawica and Suomi. I could also prepare an icon out of this one. Just let me know (my talk page preferably) should you need such an icon. //Halibutt16:36, 10 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
