H.S.V. The Brases
Please could someone make the home shirt of the braves: The overshirt is blue. The sleaves are red. The pants is white. The socks are red again.
Thanks a lot!!!
- If it's just a blue shirt with red sleeves, white shorts and red socks, a new pattern isn't needed for that..... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 09:26, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Also, there's no article on any team called "H.S.V. The Brases" or "H.S.V. The Braves", as far as I can see...... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 09:28, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

The second-to-last line has no obvious use, and is causing problems with some editors on recent browsers. Might as well get rid of it. Old:

Overview
Is there an overview of sports kits? Not of the individual styles, but of what types of kits have been defined, for what sports, and what elements are available to build kits with? Aliter (talk) 22:19, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- Category: kit and uniform templates. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 08:22, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. Not exactly what I was looking for, but I it sort of works. If a category, I would have expected more of a Category: kit and uniform parts, with shorts, soks, skirts, sleeves, etc. all being subcategories. Unfortunately, it turns out that skirts aren't actually on Commons, so using them on fy: will be somewhat troublesome. Aliter (talk) 01:45, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Come to think of it: How do we get the entire kits system on Commons? Aliter (talk) 22:35, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Check for possibility of SVG
If the template can use SVG images instead of PNG images, then it could give some notification of this. I've added a check to the template and recreated it here. However, it does make use of {{exists}} for each image, so someone may want to make a decision on this. — cBuckley (Talk • Contribs) 12:15, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

- Yes, I know about the
filetype
attribute. But there may be cases where that attribute can be used and people haven't noticed, so are still using the PNG version. This would make them use SVG if SVG versions were available for each of their images. Of course, using this method would make it possible to remove thefiletype
attribute altogether! — cBuckley (Talk • Contribs) 14:16, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

- Good point. Yes, it would seem that the best approach would be to just remove the filetype attribute entirely, and to always do SVG -> PNG fallback. I can't imagine anyone is using the attrib for any other file type right now. I hope you don't mind, but I've moved your user test page to the sandbox. Update the template to use overlay svg files
{{editprotect}}
It's pretty uncontroversial and has been discussed to some here. The code used is taken from the italian wp template (it:Template:Football kit), modified to include the png/svg choice through the filetype parameter and the discussed change from File:Kit socks.svg to File:Kit socks long.svg to give a more real life proportions to the socks. And as said in the discussion, with these changes the old sock style that are shorter are still usable as "underlayers", though some might have to be modified as well (shown here). The changes would integrate with other templates that uses this template, see this for tests. — CHANDLER#10 — 10:49, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Help needed for FC de Rakt
In an attempt to improve and expand the article FC de Rakt which is currently under AfD, I'd like to ask for help/advice in setting up a template showing their kit. There's a unique issue here which will be apparent on perusal of the article - basically, a skirt is required rather than shorts. ðarkuncoll 10:01, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

- Good point - could they be combined somehow? I'm not quite sure how to construct a standard template, let alone make a new one, so if anyone wishes to take on this task while the AfD debate is still open it would be much appreciated. The required kit is pretty simple in terms of colours - blue shirt, white skirt, and blue socks. ðarkuncoll 10:11, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
- Infobox kits are just paper dolls; there is no need to show that the shorts are actually skirts. Doing so sets a horrible precedent for things like people wanting long-sleeved versions and the like. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 05:08, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi,
Could someone help with what is proposed for the new Arbroath FC away kit? New Man City away Kit
Anyone able to make the new away kit for Manchester City 09/10?
Why is there no detailed "walk through" of how to create your own kit designs?
I'm trying to create the kit of my local rugby club for the page I'm creating and am having trouble replicating the kit. I've managed to find some existing templates that are similar, but not quite right. I can't work out how to change the colours etc.
Can anybody help?
I need to create the following:
For the Team Kit
- a Sky blue body (87CEFF) with a single navy blue hoop (000080)
- sky blue arms (87CEFF) with a single navy blue hoop (000080)
- Plain navy blue shorts (000080)
- Hooped socks, similar to: _hoops_black_ but instead of black the hoops need to be navy blue (000080) and the white parts need to be sky blue (87CEFF)
- And as it is a rugby kit I need the title to read "Team Kit" not 1st Kit which seems to be the default and I can't get rid of it.
For the Change Kit, it's simpler. I need a plain red shirt (FF0000) and the same shorts and socks as above. And again, as it is rugby the title for this needs to say "Change Kit" not the default: "2nd kit"
If you want to do it for me, I won't say no. But any help on how to do it myself would be fine.
Thanks EzeeTiger81 (talk) 15:21, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

{{editprotected}} (This is a followup to Template talk:Infobox football club #Alt text update.)
The Mediawiki software changed, so that now must one use "|link=

Hi!
I want to use this file in Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team
