There have been a number of new editors who have seen this comment on their drafts and assumed that they should somehow delete the redirect (usually blanking the redirect), when this isn't what it is intended to mean. @Robert McClenon: I am pretty sure that you are either the only or at least by far the largest user of this template, so I don't want to unilaterally make a change given that I would essentially just be editing your comments; but I would suggest that something along the lines of "... should be deleted at the same time by an administrator, because the hatnote ..." might reduce confusion. I know page movers can delete those redirects in some cases, but I'm not sure if including that would make it unnecessarily specific. Tollens (talk) 22:50, 29 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
