Cameo as first appearance?

If a character made a cameo appearance in an earlier media before their major debut in another media, does it count as a valid first appearance?

For example: The DC Extended Universe version of Steve Trevor first appeared in a photograph in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice before making his in-person debut in Wonder Woman. RPC7778 (talk) 13:27, 23 May 2026 (UTC)

Add a parameter for cases where a character has more than one title (see Traveler (Genshin Impact) for what I mean; they go by "Honorary Knight" and "Tumaini").

Related to this, I've added {{Pluralize from text}} to the other parameters that could use it and setup the deprecation logic for the plural parameters so we can move away from them. Gonnym (talk) 11:55, 4 June 2026 (UTC)

Use for semi-legendary figures

This infobox seems a bit strange for use for semi-legendary figures like Odysseus. The header "In-universe information" seems odd; many semi-legendary figures were genuinely believed to be and portrayed as being in our universe.

"In-universe" gives me the feel of modern fiction where there's an explicit separate universe established.

Feel like maybe that header should be modified/modifiable, or we should have a separate template for semi-legendary figures. grapesurgeon (talk) 06:45, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
