I have added tracking of unknown parameters to this infobox template. It is a feature of hundreds of infoboxes, and it can help find problems like |couch gag= (invalid, so the gag text won't display). Please see Category:Pages using infobox Simpsons episode with unknown parameters.
I have noticed that |focus= is used in many articles' infoboxes, but it is not a documented parameter. It should either be added to the template or removed from those infoboxes. It does not currently display. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:01, 9 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
The Futurama template uses a very strange hack to insert table rows with HTML in order to use custom parameters. I'm not going to maintain that kind of code. I'll leave it for someone else. – Jonesey95 (talk) 12:20, 9 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
<includeonly>{{Television episode short description|episode_n={{{episode|}}}|season_num={{{season|}}}|series_name=The Simpsons|multi_episodes={{{multi_episodes|}}}|not_dab={{{not_dab|}}}}}</includeonly>
I'll need help sorting two things out:
There's a single two-parter in the series, spread between two seasons. We can either mess with the code for this one exception or just override the default description.
Each template will need to add the episode number within the season, not just in the show as a whole.
I think for the episode you mentioned, overriding might be the better option, if it is indeed a unique single-use case. However, this infobox should probably have its day in TfD to see what the consensus is, as this is the only episode infobox that doesn't use {{Infobox television episode}}. --Gonnym (talk) 08:04, 20 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
