Alternate version, or change the color?

Hi! I don’t know if anyone’s reading this talk page but I’m wondering, as a total template noob, whether it’s possible to create an alternative version or even just adjust this one, to have a subtler color. The pink is very loud and while I think it’s a fun color, it overshadows some of the images of fragrances. Opinions anyone? Innisfree987 (talk) 16:05, 19 July 2021 (UTC)

Using the sandbox and the MOS guidelines for color accessibility, I switched in a #FFE2E2, a more muted shade of pale pink/beige. You can check it out in the test case for this template. Hi Philoserf‬, I noticed that you had edited a couple fragrance pages recently (and I can’t find many others who have!), so in the interests of not altering everyone’s infoboxes unilaterally, I wanted to see if you had any reactions to the idea of changing the color (or the color bars could be removed entirely.) FWIW it does seem the current color is probably not up to snuff for accessibility (per MOS, it’s too dark for unclicked links to remain legible). Anyway, welcome your thoughts if you have any! Greetings. I have a maintenance routine and many of the articles I visit are not in WikiProjects I focus upon. And, while I have some rudimentary template experience, I am not a specialist there. No color?

Now testing a version with the color removed. Ultimately I think this is probably preferable but it would require other adjustments to the formatting to work visually. Therefore my vote for now is to switch to the pale peach shade as a neutral option and consider a broader revision or a new template to make all the necessary adjustments to have a template without color bars. Really appreciate your weighing in—yes the more I look at it, the more it seems like a clear improvement and even if further tweaks are needed, this is one to start with. Perfumer

Also is it possible to add a line for the perfumer (if known)? For example, Christine Nagel and Francis Kurkdjian are the credited noses on Narciso Rodriguez for Her, which seems worth putting in the infobox. Maybe also awards?
