Documentation
editHey, ScotXW! Regarding our back-and-forth on what's to be included within this template's documentation, could you please explain why do you want to cram everything together, instead of moving stuff for other templates into Template:Linux kernel/doc § See also section? Please advise. — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 09:57, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- To avoid duplication. User:ScotXWt@lk 10:00, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- That's fine, but descriptions for other templates belong to the Template:Linux kernel/doc § See also section, not to the Template:Linux kernel/doc § Usage section. That's the only thing I'm complaining about. — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 10:03, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
oFono?
editHow does oFono fit to this template? --Seba.dos1 (talk) 11:57, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
Misleading name
editCan we simplify things by renaming Linux kernel to Linux and Linux to GNU/Linux? It would make the whole thing make sense and educate people. Currently the two templates are interweaved, with many people being on both, some on the wrong one and the naming is confusing. Is there a global rename function in Wikipedia that would redirect all links to Linux to GNU/Linux and then Linux(kernel) to Linux? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.60.168.72 (talk) 17:02, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- {{Linux people}} was created to deal with that problem. I've just moved the people section there. Regards, Comte0 (talk) 14:35, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
