Cluttered

Is it me, or does this template seem overly cluttered? I noticed an anon tried to have {{Mario Kart series}} speedily deleted because this template "has it covered", but this seems like a lot of irrelevant stuff to have on a page about Super Mario Kart (sure, there are other sports where Mario is featured, but besides being a sport, what exactly does Mario Golf have to do with Mario Kart?).

My proposal is to cut this back down to something covering sports titles that aren't a series (if such a template would even have much on it) with category links to the other types of sports perhaps. In any event, putting this on every Mario sports-type page seems a bit much. —Locke Cole • t • c 01:24, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

I've been here for a while, and those were all separate templates before. I like this idea in principle, but this is a bit cluttered IMO. hbdragon88 01:32, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Mario Kart series names

Is it me, or are the names in the Mario Kart series not consistent? For instance, the title Mario Kart Wii has been shortened to Wii, yet Mario Kart DS has its full title, as does Mario Kart 64. Surely one style should be adopted? 81.77.120.91 (talk) 20:21, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

!-! In addition, for the Mario Kart series, Mario Kart: Super Circuit is listed as "Advance" in the template, when it's official English title is "Mario Kart: Super Circuit". I know that by using "Advance", it conveys what system the game is for, however Double Dash!! is used in the template, using the official title for the game instead of "Gamecube", the system for which it's designed. In addition, every other game in the template uses its official title. I think Super Circuit should be labeled as such in the template. What does everyone else think? If I don't hear anything in a day or so, I'm going to change it "Advance" to "Super Circuit" Moviemaniacx (talk) 18:08, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Some titles in the template

Just for informational purposes -> Mario Exite Bike and the two Famicom Grand Prix games are in the Mario Kart series because they are all racing games. Really, the template should indicate that they are racing games like {{Crash Bandicoot series}}. OK.  The Windler talk  23:40, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
