Template talk:Medical cases chart/Row

Is there a good solution to the hassle of passing the divisor, numwidth and collapsible parameters in every row?

It would be nice if the {{Row}} could detect these parameters if they were passed once to the {{Medical cases chart}} template. I thought of using variables like {{PAGENAME}}, but, from a failed attempt to use it on a similar issue, I thought it wouldn't work. Alternatively, I could create a parameter for the address of the page generating the chart (not simply the page where the chart is viewed/transcluded). However, this would still need to be passed in every {{Row}}, plus it really feels like a workaround. Alexiscoutinho (talk) 23:03, 11 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi. This is otherwise a nice template, but I think it is a nightmare to update its content on articles for ongoing pandemics, as the figures keep growing and the bars go crazy if you don't know how to readjust them (eg. here). So, some tips for use, please? Thanks in advance. -- Puisque (talk) 21:46, 31 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Switch to the data parameter and it will make your lives much easier in the long run. Eventualy, using this template directly will be deprecated, so the sooner the better it is to make the change. Alexiscoutinho (talk) 22:42, 1 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
