Inline
editWould love it if this template supported |inline=1
like e.g. {{EB1911}}. Thanks! – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 06:48, 25 April 2019 (UTC)
- See Template talk:Country study#Inline where we discussed this and decided against it. —hike395 (talk) 14:58, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- Sure, Hike395. But then we'll end up with some templates supporting it and others not. The result is that often the same article will include inline citations saying "This article..." and "One or more of the preceding sentences..." and that's outright confusing.
- Can you provide examples of articles where both kinds of wording occur? —hike395 (talk) 02:04, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
- By the way, I've posted about another issue at Template talk:Country study#Cite web. – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 16:20, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
