Important?

edit

So it begins. This template is already getting out of control with everyone thinking their favorite people deserve to be in the "Important" list. I predict that list won't last. —Wknight94 (talk) 00:58, 10 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

If this keeps up, I'm going to add Bobby Bonilla, Vince Coleman and Anthony Young. --Muboshgu (talk) 01:16, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Officially the New York Metropolitans"

edit

Removing this error from the template - while the original business name of the club was originally "The New York Metropolitan Baseball Club Inc.", the team has never been the "New York Metropolitans". They have always been simply the "Mets". The team's website [1] is quite clear on this, as is the team's article. SixFourThree (talk) 16:03, 7 April 2008 (UTC)SixFourThreeReply

Color contrast

edit

@Richiekim and Joeykai: The choice of   blue and   orange for the background and text in the navbox title is problematic. The contrast ratio for these colors is 3.38, which is far below the 4.5 required for compliance. (Note that if you get a number less than 1, you need to switch the order of the colors when computing the ratio.) Using white as the text color, with the blue as background color is much better, with a ratio of 9.48. Note that there is a similar problem with white on orange, which has a ratio of 2.8. Note that the Mets logo gets around this by inserting a white outline between the blue and the orange. The following table summarizes the situation:

Color 1 Color 2 Sample Ratio
Blue   Orange New York Mets 3.38
Blue   White New York Mets 9.48
Orange   White New York Mets 2.8
Blue   Black New York Mets 0.45
Orange   Black New York Mets 0.13
