- @Kees08: @Coffeeandcrumbs: I moved this to the 20th, but realised that maybe you put it on 21st deliberately since the TFA would be on the 20th? I guess it would extend the Apollo 11 festivities for one more day... — Amakuru (talk) 07:32, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- Ah, I see now that the first EVA was actually on 21 July, in UTC time, and that's what the article says. So I've moved it back for now. Happy to go with what works best. — Amakuru (talk) 07:39, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- Yeah. My personal opinions do not coincide with Wikipedia's current consensus, so the 21st it is :). Thanks for checking it out. Should I edit the blurb, is there a normal ballpark character limit for it? I am also considering linking it to Buzz Aldrin instead of lunar soil since Neil Armstrong will be TFA. Do you have any thoughts on that? Kees08 (Talk) 07:42, 7 March 2019 (UTC)

- I took the first pass at it along those lines and making UTC times explicit. --- Coffeeandcrumbs 08:12, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- Good stuff, thanks. Once we've got the text settled, it would be good to make sure that detail is all in the target article, i.e. Buzz Aldrin, and properly cited. We've got a while to do that though, and I'm sure the necessary material is all to be found in [[Apollo 11]. — Amakuru (talk) 08:39, 7 March 2019 (UTC)

- Have you gotten permission for running an FP on POTD twice? That's generally not done except in exceptional circumstances, and there's enough potential and current Apollo-related FPs that it seems a little inappropriate. That said, it is awfully iconic. - @Adam Cuerden, Kees08, and Amakuru: I have replaced the photo with this one which was recently promoted. I hope there are no objections. This one is equally iconic. --- Coffeeandcrumbs 05:49, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks, Coffeeandcrumbs. That's great, and gets around the repeated picture issue. AFAIK there's no rule against repeating, although generally I've only been doing it on rare special occasions. Thanks — Amakuru (talk) 06:45, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
- I am indifferent and fine with either outcome. Kees08 (Talk) 05:04, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
